Automobili Mottola is a 3rd generation Italian automaker; it was formed in Mottola Italy by GE Mottola II in the 1950’s. The company was dramatically changed when GE Mottola III visited the United States to learn the art of fiberglass which was the rage in California at the time. Though out the 70’s 80’s and 90’s Automobili Mottola produced a limited number of cars for people who wanted something more unique then an average car that could be purchased at a dealership. GE Mottola IV joined the team full time after college; prior to that it was only when time would allow. He suggested instead of just centering on sportcars and top end luxury cars they should branch out to supercars which had gained global popularity. Soon after Automobili Mottola as we know it was formed. This called for a factory! The family business in the town of Mottola has grown too small and expansion was necessary. With stunning designs that only could come from Italy GE Mottola IV decided to look for a new production facility, the rest will be history!
